Chatting with Dr. Snoop

This is an old interview that I had done with Shane aka Dr Snoop , but I thought that some would maybe like it here on the new House of Poker Blues .

Today we have with us Shane from Australia and is part of the staff at Carbon Poker as well as PDC Poker. At Carbon he looks after all the fixed price advertising,  as well as the Carbon Poker blog. He also designs all their merchandise and sometimes write content for the website . (and is now my affiliate manager for the site)

1. First off Shane, most of us know that Carbon hasn't been around that long , but has taken off quite well . When and how did you come about working for the site ?

I actually got the job through a friend who worked there, they liked what I did so they offered me a position with the company.

2. I hear tell that one of your favorite programs on the tube is the "Iron Chef " . Do you consider yourself a pretty mean cook , and what do you enjoy whipping up the most ?

Kangaroo on the BBQ with some rosemary - can't go wrong eating an animal from your Coat of Arms! The gamey texture of the meat is just beautiful, a nice creamy mushroom sauce on the side and you are set.

3. I know that you like doing some DJ work as a hobby . Maybe you could tell us what sounds you like to play , and who would be your favorite artist / band ?

I play house music but I especially love old 80's songs remixed. Beats hearing a lyric you know by heart. My favourite DJ is a guy by the name of Tocadisco, Germans make the best house music. Ive actually just finished my DJ website, its www.djmrsnoop.com - check it out.

4. Your nickname on some of your sites is Mr. Snoop , now when and how in the world did that name come about ?

I actually collect Peanuts memorabilia, especially Snoopy stuff. I have everything there is nearly from books, to dvds, to stuffed toys. I even have a stuffed toy with an AM radio inside, VERY 70's! I also have a Snoopy tattoo on my right shoulder. Because of this obsession I ended up with the nickname Snoop, and to distance myself from Snoop Doggy Dogg I added Mr in front for my DJ name, which I use for my nickname most places.
