Weekend News at the House of Poker - 1/07

I don't have a lot to report on today other than we did have our monthly Charity Ball Tournament over at Carbon Poker to help the Make a Wish Foundation this past Saturday . I'd like to say we had a huge turnout , but I can't really . We did have a few more players than last months tourney with 57 players making the game though . With half the buy-ins going to the children , that came to 147.00 raised for the foundation . I'm hoping that we get a bigger turnout in next months game . ;-) I had a terrible finish when my big slick cost me the game . The flop had come j-4-k rainbow and with only one other player in the hand I thought I had the hand and pushed . I had put them on a-j when they had just made a min. raise preflop and was dead wrong....they were holding the hooks and it was over for me at 37th spot . oops .

While I'm here I also just want to apologise to anyone that might be trying to visit the forum and having problems doing so . The forum has been running mighty slow the past few days due to server problems , but it's being worked on .
