Support Growing for Online Poker
News continues to spread about the growing support for online poker . With the membership of the Poker Players Alliance now over a million strong and the continued efforts of Congressman Barney Frank to get the UIGEA repealed, changes may be just around the corner. Hopefully within the next year or two poker players will have their rights back to fund games as we see fit.
The latest good news for the online gambling industry is the Citizen’s Briefing Book that was released last week. Earlier this year the White House asked citizens to submit policy proposals to be voted on at change.gov. Issues with the strongest support made it into the Citizen’s Briefing Book which was then sent to President Obama just last week. Online Poker Players should be happy to note that regulating and licensing online poker is the top technology issue and the 11th overall.
This fight is not over yet, so lets all keep writing our Congressmen and let them know that we want the right to fund our favorite games online. You can find a lot of available tools at PPA that makes writing your Congressmen and Representatives a very quick and easy experience .
