A representative of the Los Angeles Commerce Casino -- one of the largest poker rooms in North America -- testified before Congress in opposition to federal legislation to license and regulate Internet poker.

The PPA is asking the poker community to speak out and tell the Commerce Casino to support H.R. 2267 and abandon its misguided effort for a California-only Internet poker monopoly. Join Chris Ferguson, Phil Hellmuth, Doyle Brunson, Phil Ivey and dozens of the leading professional players who have signed an "Open Letter" to the Commerce Casino.

Simply go to www.playersbeforeprofits.com, where you too can sign the Open Letter. Well known poker room PokerKings will no longer allow Canadian players starting on September 24. According to the Poker Affiliate Bible, Boss’s new name is GTech BTW and ALL Boss/IPN websites on that network will blocking Canadians.

This may leave many wondering where they can go to from there. While many Canadian players may already have the poker rooms, here at the "House" we suggest Carbon Poker or DoylesRoom. While on seperate networks (Merge Gaming Network for Carbon and Cake Network for Doyles) and nothing alike, they both have bent over backwards through the years to remain friendly to players from all over the world....even those of us frome the U.S.

Not only are both rooms very reliable and safe places to play, but when downloading from here at the House of Poker Blues you get a percentage of your rakeback paid back into your players account. That is like being paid to play! For every bit of rake you pay the room, you will get back 35% of that at Carbon by using code "POKERBLUES" when depositing or 33% rakeback at Doyleroom by using code "HPB110B".

So while Boss leaving is a bit of bad news for our Canadian friends it is not the end of online poker, there are still plentry of nice places to play their favourite poker games at online. Both of the rooms even offer casino games for those that like to gamble occasionaly.

Beat the Brunson Ten

Doyles Room now has 8 members signed to the Brunson Ten team. It also lead to our troubles of withdrawing winnings, and in some cases a lot of the poker rooms even banning the American Poker Player. The UIGEA stripped the American Player of our freedoms to make our own choices.

Some may even recall that it was the Republican Party that included a prohibition on Internet gaming in its 2008 policy platform! We must remind the GOP leadership that millions of Americans want them to support our poker rights and not continue with these misguided prohibitions.

Republican members of the U.S. House of Representatives have asked the American people to submit ideas through a new website on ways to keep our freedoms here in this great country of ours.

Greg "Fossilman" Raymer has posted a comment on AmericaSpeakingOut.com calling on Congress to ensure poker players freedoms by licensing and regulating online poker. We need everyone's help, so vote for Greg's comment and help it become one of the top – if not the top – issue on AmericaSpeakingOut.com. It just takes a few minutes.
